I heard today that things have changed at Futura apparently Norman Astbury has been made redundant. I believe he has worked for Futura for a number of years and this has come out of the blue consequentially he is not very happy about it. I tried to get some information from one of Futura's contract employee's that I have contact with and he said that they haven't had any official notice of the new developments at Futura.
I am wondering if this is just a rumor or if it is true, can anybody throw some light on this subject?

well if it was ONLY a rumour its well spread now, why did you not just ask Norman, His e-mail address is on here or ask futura theres is here to. Asking for rumours off so called insiders is a bit immature dont you think.

Hi Norman, Sorry to hear you have parted company with Futura, after 17 yrs with them. I was with you at the beginning when Futura was born, so of course I know Graham & Dave as much and I wish you all well. I think you did a great job over the years and all the modellers i have met agree. I know you have been avoiding a golfing re-match with me,as you keep coming to Simi when I'm away. Whatever happens from now, I hope you can stay in the business and we meet again soon. Now West ham are back up the Baggies had better watch there arse this year. Good luck John Coppin
