Alias sculptors and Clay modelers
Cresttek has positions for Clay and Digital Alias modelers interested and looking for long term projects in California and the Metro Detroit area.
The Digital or Clay sculptor is responsible for interpreting and defining the design intent of the industrial designer while working with mechanical engineering, manufacturing and tooling requirements.
3D CAD data is used to develop product concepts, detailed appearance models and renderings as well as production level surfaces used for engineering and tooling.
Required Skills/Experience: - 2+ years of experience - Ability to interface with engineering criteria - Ability to create manufacturable math model (ie die pulls, draft angles, and part breakups) using Alias software to current math tolerance specifications - Ability to create accurate math models from a digital pack - Ability to lead and direct a project - Ability to render and present model to management - Knowledge of math for rapid prototype-ready 3D models - Basic knowledge of UG and/or ICEM, and/or Catia Required Education and Training: - Four year college degree with a major in Industrial Design, Sculpture, Ceramics or equivalent experience - Alias experience - Animation experience is a plus
Digital Modelers: Resume and portfolio with tight shots of surface with Isoparms turned on.
Clay Modelers: Resume and portfolio of public work.
