Our Automotive client based in London are currently seeking a CNC Operator, Modelling Technician on a permanent basis.
Overview of Job Role
To assist in the production of three dimensional interior and exterior models using information supplied by the designers, engineers, suppliers, management, packaging and production teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Proactively work as part of the modelling team to ensure a high quality model is achieved and project deadlines are achieved
Key Tasks Defined
- Operate 5 axis CNC clay milling machines
- Actively participate in the digital manipulation of data to achieve a 3D model
- Fabricate model parts with precision and accuracy
- Proactively contribute ideas for improving services and practices
- Ensure all day to day usable supplies are ordered
- Efficiently prioritise designated tasks and communicate potential concerns to the Senior Modeller
- Ensure all tasks are completed to The Companies quality standard
- Positively react to the changing demands of the Company
- Adhere to Best practice at all times
Qualifications or Knowledge Required
- Good knowledge of CNC milling (Fidia and Heidenhain)
- Working knowledge of cutterpath package: WorkNC
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAM software
- Working knowledge of model-making
- Working knowledge of scanning is desirable
- Modelling qualification is desirable
Experience
- Work experience in a modelling/design studio environment would be advantageous
Salary
- Between £30,000 – £45,000 plus benefits
