Hi anybody, I am in Australia, and this is all new to me. I found this site whilst trying to discover exactly what type of clay to use for prototype vehicles.I guess what I want is what the big boys use in the car industry. So far it has been confusing what with all the types of clays available. Could someone please give me a direction to follow, thanking you all. Cheers from down under Hotrod. Have a nice day

Here's a link to Chavant's site, the clay on this page is the best clay that I have used. It's not to hard, so your tools will not need to be sharpened as often, but it is firm enough to make beautiful surfaces. Also this clay sticks to itself really good so it wont crack as easily. www.chavant.com/index_main.shtml

Try barnesproducts.com.au they carry Chavant Clay dependant on how large of a model you are constructing. If you plan to take FRP molds from the surface then consider the Lightweight Non Sulpha based clays. If you just want to create a scale model and finish that with paint then try CM 50 / 70 I305 or even J525. Any problems or more info go to www.chavant.com www.claymodeller.com www.clay-modeler.com www.claysculptors.com/
