Hello all
So i have been reading all the posts and mostly spoke about is agents take this much ,set a union up to help us ...........
well lets get the facts striaght
1, a union wont work because we dont all like each other and it will be said , If he's doing it i want nothing to do with it,for example or a manarger will say i only want people from the union ,but not him as i dont like him, then theres the old one, as long as I ( manager,agent ,or other modeller)am here with or with out union he wont get here ( i am sure those who have said dont aggree) and so on and so on
2. cheap labour.make me laugh,i would sooner work ( as i actually enjoy what i do) for a tenner for 10 months a year than 4 times that for 3, and lets be honest we ( clay modellers) have not got very good reputations concerning money and how we spend it.... no wonder that THE MANAGER let off some steem in an earlier post, i am sorry but it is mainly greed that drives most of you ( not me ;D)on,
So those Cheap labour jobs are going to people who want to work and try some thing new, not all places are as expensive as Germany ,Sweden, Franch or now U.S.A, so get off the pedistal go permy if you want home, the real reason the rate is low is because there are not the movers there use to be,
3, Agents 1 post which is better? all agents ask one of there modellers if he or she knows mr X is he good can he be relied on then he or she says yes or no, some times on what they have heard about the person not what they have experienced, so its the modellers running each other down because the agents ask, then on this imformation the agent puts he or she in a price range...... our man said hes slow so we can offer him for less and so on ,now theres little work the companies are saying we only pay less because last year you got us 3-4 modellers for that price..
Theres lots more i would like to say but i will save them for another post
