Hello All, I have had a lot of whinging lately about why this forum is so tame and boring and why I imposed restrictions on posting here. To be honest I think you are all right but this forum is not the place for the type of subjects you wanted to discuss so I have now set up a brand new Blog called "Get it OFF your chest". On this Blog you can post anonymously about anything you wish so are you going to put your money where your mouth is or not? Nows your chance. GO FOR IT. Bookmark this link : www.ungloved.blogspot.com/To post on this blog you will have to sign up for a free blogger account. You can use any name you wish and you only have to do it once to get a user name and password to sign in to make your posting.

Good Idea Geff, but if people have to be secret about a gripe or whing then its better they say nothing as a back stab just to P!$$ us off. That is the problem , its a small world if you need to change your name or go anonymously just to annoy someone then its better that you say nothing as when people find out your identity and they will it will. Rope for your own neck ...... although these people are not worth getting upset about people do... i have my fair share of sh!9 my way some justified, but not when the person thowing it does not know (me ) or in some cases ever met the person they are putting down.............. i for one dont neeb your blog and probably wont join BUT GOOD I DEA FOR THE COWARDS AMONGST US

Hello Bill,
I started the blog initially to try and extend the audience to include people who are outside of the Automotive Industry, my idea was to make the website more interesting not to provide a vehicle to slate people off but more of a place where people could have a good moan.
This was not a good idea because blogs are for just one person to make personal postings daily and get comments to their postings, by the way, a blog is an abbreviation of web log, basically a diary online, I didn't realise this at first but luckily it coincided with my decision to semi-retire in December so the Blog will now become a daily account of what happens with the lead up to my retirement and the new life I will lead in the new year, hopefully it will gain a following and encourage interesting comments that will attract more visitors to both the Blog and this Forum.

I have to agree with Bill, i didn't like some of the comments being made while hiding the names of the authors, it was an easy way to take a swipe at some one or a company without any comeback and quite often was libelous. I was one of those that complained to you, saying it was dangerous especially to you as the host. As Bill intimated if you can't stand behind what you are saying then you have no right to say it publicly, as most of you know i have no-problem saying exactly what i feel like saying face to face (although it sometimes hurts), most of the guys and gals are proffesional enough in our business but there were some comments made last year that i did not understand fully because i am on the other side of the pond and am out of touch with what had /has been going on, these comments were never fully explained but there were obviously some very pissed off people at that time, i would like to have known more of what was exactly happening and by who? but since the comments were effectively anonimous maybe we will never know. Geoff, good luck with the retirement you are no-doubt doing the right thing given the state of the industry give my love to the missus PS where are you Bill?

Hello All, I entirely agree with the comments put forward on this thread so I have decided to change the Blog. My new Blog will deal exclusively to my forthcoming retirement and nothing else, I will hopefully post daily and it will be an online account of how to survive retiring early. Here is the new link. www.ungloved.blogspot.com/Please support me by visiting the Blog daily don't forget to refresh your browser to get the latest posting, also check the dates of the postings.
